Alive and kickin' for 10 amazing seasons

When The Old Bridge Fantasy Baseball League was established in 1999 Mike was in college and baseball was simply a sport, not a passion. Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa were coming off of anabolic seasons, Joe Pisapia had just finished playing Eddie Carbone in “A View from the Bridge” and Ari was singing show tunes somewhere in Massachusetts.

Mike gathered a group of his closest friends from suburban Old Bridge, NJ and a league was born. From that inaugural season the league has grown to include friends, friends of friends, friends of friends of friends, and a woman... we’ve come a long way.

Friendships have been born, rooted in a love of baseball. Relationships that will, without a doubt, last a lifetime. Championships have been won and, on occasion, pride has been lost. Through it all the owners of OBFBL have remained dedicated, inspired, and in love with this wonderful game of baseball.

Season number ten - here we come!
